It seems the whole world is going mad for videos and animations. According to YouTube, people spend more than six billion hours a month watching them. That’s more than an hour for everyone on the planet.
And it’s not just a mass-market consumer phenomenon. Research from Quartz in 2014 showed that global business executives are much more likely to recall video content than words and pictures.
Video and animation are a core part of our output. With projects that straddle print and digital channels, we plan it so that a photoshoot or interview can incorporate a video shoot too. When creating data stories, we think how they can be animated to have a life on websites and social media.
